The Human Resources Assistant  will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's Human Resource department.  The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual with strong communication skills, have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, while upholding the utmost confidentiality and discretion.



Responsibilities:  
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior level HR staff or management.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • May assist with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments and managers to ensure the smooth flow of information and documentation.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department; receives and distributes office mail; performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education:  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field (preferred). 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Proficient in HRIS and other HR software applications with proven experience in an HR administrative role.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, including new hire onboarding, benefits administration, and employee records management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
